BRIAN IMRIE
Between 2009 and 2012, Mr. Imrie was Partner and Global Head of Mining M & A for KPMG Corporate Finance and was responsible for creating an integrated global mining advisory team based in over ten countries unseeing in excess of $500M in mining transactions. Prior to KPMG Mr. Imrie was Managing Director and Co-Head of M & A for National Bank Financial for seven years (2001-2008) and was responsible for numerous high profile mining transactions including the sale of Fording Coal to Teck Resources. Mr. Imrie has also worked with Morgan Stanley and Credit Suisse; he received his MBA from Harvard University in 1987 and his BA from the University of Toronto in 1983.
DR. THOMAS
Dr. Thomas is a professional engineer, and holds a BSc, an MSc and a PhD in chemical engineering from the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom. He also received a diploma in accounting and finance from the U.K. Association of Certified Accountants. He has 44 years of experience in the mining industry, including both base metal and precious metal projects in several countries including Brazil, Venezuela, Costa Rica, Russia, Kazakhstan, Canada and Zambia. His experience covers a wide range of activities in the mining industry from process development, management of feasibility studies, engineering and management of process plant construction, and the operation of multiple underground and surface mines.
JOHN MENZIES
John Menzies is the Managing Member and Founding Partner of RIVI Capital LLC. John has over 18 years of experience with investment management companies at various stages of growth where he created, developed, and managed alternative strategies with a consistent record of outsized returns. With an emphasis on macroeconomic analysis, John has extensive experience trading gold derivatives and investing in precious metals companies. John was previously a Portfolio Manager with Wedbush Equity Management where he managed a hedged-equity strategy for the bank’s proprietary funds and oversaw the development of new products. He was the Founding Partner of Toroso Capital, Portfolio Manager for Hilspen Capital, and Trader for Fisher Investments. John holds a Bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.
BRUN KAISER
Bruno is currently the CFO of a global-leading Health Data-tech software company leading the digitization and transformation of health data. Bruno’s career stretches almost three decades in global mining finance. From 20011-2020, Bruno led the Mining Industry groups at Desjardins Securities and Paradigm Capital overseeing strategy across product areas and leading coverage of clients on a global basis. From 2004-2010, he was a Managing Director, Mining at National Bank Financial leading several large M&A, Equity and Commercial Lending transactions. From 2000-2004 he led various Capital Markets areas as a Vice President with Morgan Stanley in London. Prior to his investment banking career, from 1992 to 1999 he was a Mining Research Analyst at CIBC World Markets and other leading firms. He holds a Charter Financial Analyst designation, a MBA from INSEAD (2000), a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Accounting from McGill University (1992) and a Humanities degree from the University of Strasbourg, France (1988).
Mr. Pickmann has a law degree and an LLM in corporate Law and over 20 years of corporate, securities and mining law experience. His legal practice has been focused on advising significant mining companies in Peru. He has acted as internal legal advisor of Peruvian Government on the Mining Privatization Committee of Centromin Peru; he has been board member of several public and private junior mining companies and board member of Petroperu (Peruvian Agency for oil and gas) and is currently partner of Dentons law firm in the Lima office, negotiating multiple transfer, assignment and mining option contracts. Mr. Pickmann has also been a Professor of Mining Law and Strategic Alliances at Lima University. Mr. Pickmann was CEO of Southern Legacy Minerals prior to its amalgamation with Regulus. He is currently also on the Board of Aldebaran Resources Inc and Regulus Resources.
